After threat analysis by Technical Hazard Agencies and the check with the Provincial Disaster Offices, the National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) through NEOC formally issues a TSUNAMI ALL-CLEAR STATEMENT for the Solomon Islands.
The country was advised to prepare any unusual waves that was likely to be generated from the Russia’s earthquake and tsunami on Wednesday.
Solomon Islands Meteorology Service on Wednesday afternoon issued a tsunami alert advisory to three of the provinces, Choiseul, Western and Isabel provinces.
However, around mid-night the advisory was cancelled.
