THE man accused of robbing the Pagoda pub at Henderson, Central Guadalcanal, last year will be taking his plea on January 20.
Peter Foukona, 20, is facing one count of robbery.
Foukona was re-arrested in early December last year following the issuance of a warrant after failing to appear in court despite being served with a summons.
His case was mentioned in the Honiara Magistrates Court earky this week, but his lawyer was not available.
Principal Magistrate Emily Zazariko Vagibule Pakoa therefore adjourned the matter and further remanded Foukona in custody.
Foukona is accused of robbing the Pagoda pub on 11 May 2025.
It is alleged that at around 4am, Foukona went to the pub and assaulted workers who chased him away.
The prosecution alleged that Foukona and others who remain at large later returned to the pub, where they stole seven bottles of hot stuff, six bottles of wine, 15 cans of Canoe Brown, 10 cans of Canoe Blue, 47 cans of Solbrew, one sleeve of Green Bro cigarettes and a cash box containing $4,000.
During his record of interview with police, Foukona allegedly admitted to taking money from the cash box and using it to buy beers.
