Fifteen apprentices have been presented with certificates of appreciation after completing six months of practical work with the Property and Infrastructure Department (PID) and Garage of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF).
Assistant Commissioner (AC) Corporate Support (CS), Mr. Stanley Riolo, presented the certificate of appreciation to the apprentice at Rove Police Headquarters on December 22, 2025, with a short official ceremony.
Six apprentices are attached to the RSIPF Garage, while nine apprentices are attached to PID.
From the nine apprentices attached to PID, there are three electricians, three plumbers, and three carpenters.
AC CS Mr. Riolo during the ceremony has acknowledged the apprentice for their time with PID and the RSIPF Garage for their tireless effort in making sure issues faced on a daily basis were resolved.
“Your time and effort are much appreciated. I hope the time you spent with the RSIPF adds value to your training as an apprentice. Utilize what you have learned with RSIPF PID and the RSIPF Garage in your training,” said Mr. Riolo.

Acting Director, PID, Inspector Frank Fikumani advised the apprentice and said, “Whatever small knowledge you gain in your field of studies during your training, take it with you to help motivate you as you continue on with your training.”
“On behalf of PID, I want to thank you for your time with us and for choosing RSIPF for your apprentice. Through your contribution, we have achieved several outstanding tasks and projects,” said Mr. Fikumani.
OIC Garage, Sergeant Wilkinson Laejama, sincerely acknowledges the apprentice commitment in undertaking demanding, hands-on tasks to ensure RSIPF vehicles were repaired in a timely manner. We commend the dedication you demonstrated throughout the practicum.
