The Archery Federation of Solomon Islands (AFSI) has officially kicked off their training session for this year over the weekend.
Senior archer Andrew Lano has revealed AFSI official training session has commenced over the weekend at the Rove Police ground, west Honiara.
“We’ve kicked off our training over the weekend,” he said.
“It’s quite interesting because there about 20 new faces that showed up during our first training session for this year,” he said.
AFSI aim is to send a competitive team to New Caledonia mid this year to compete at the Oceania Continental Champions scheduled for July 9-13, 2018.
Lano said all interested both new and old archers are welcome to join them this weekend again for another session of training at the Rove Police ground.
“We encourage those who are interested to play the sport to come forward,” he said.
Meanwhile Star Sports understands top archers will be selected to during these series of training to represent the country in New Caledonia as well as other events lined up for AFSI.
