THE Archery Federation of Solomon Islands (AFSI) has thanked the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) management for availing their sports ground in preparation for the Mini-Games.
Speaking to Star Sports, AFSI President Nihal Seneviratne said his executive acknowledged RSIPF management for availing their sports ground to them to use in their preparatory training for the upcoming Mini-Games set for Vanuatu, December 2017.
“We should already kick off our training session for the Mini-Games but lack of training venue denied us to start of preparation.
“Thus, we would like to thank RSIPF management for availing their sports ground at Rove, west Honiara for us to use in our preparation,’’ he said.
He said, since AFSI did not have any ground to do their trainings it was very challenging for them.
He stressed most of the sports grounds in Honiara were used by a number of active sports in the country.
“Therefore, we really appreciated RSIPF management for allowing us to use their sports ground despite they might have other lined up activities proposed for the playing ground,’’ he stressed.
“Once again big thanks RSIPF management for seeing the importance for AFSI to use your playing ground in our preparation,’’ he added.
