AUKI Town Council (ATC) has maintained its rubbish collection and Management by installing new rubbish bins along the street of Auki last week.
The new bins are part of ATC’s efforts to continue maintaining cleanliness on the street of Auki.
Speaking to Solomon Star Auki recently, the ATC field supervisor Ben Laufa said the installation of new bins around the Malaita provincial capital is part of the council’s effort to keep the town clean.
He said his office has installed bins along the street and residential sites in Auki.
This will help allow the public and residents to manage their waste at a proper place waiting for disposal.
He then assured the public the ATC will continue to provide its services for the public and residential areas within the town boundary.
Meanwhile, he urges the public to respect the properties (bins) as it’s important to keep the town environment clean.
“This property belongs to everyone so we must respect what we own,” Mr Laufa said.
He encourages the public to manage their waste by placing them into the bin which was provided on the street.
