THE week-long Auki futsal challenge tournament has attracted hundreds of youths together with futsal fans in and around Auki town.
The futsal challenge consist of 15 futsal teams including a based futsal clubs, G-camp FC and Fijian based USP Bati.
The two clubs were consisting of most experience futsal players in the country with the likes of George Stevenson and Colman Makau.
The mixer of participating teams attracted increase of supporters and spectators.
It was reported that supporters from Honiara also travelled over to Auki to support their favourite team play.
Speaking to Star Sports, Jona gwada, said he was surprise to see this year’s futsal tournament compared to last year.
Prominent business people in Auki also saw their support towards the tournament.
He said it was a surprising thing to see most home based players are really talented in playing futsal.
“I am really surprise to see most of our young boys in Auki are talented in playing futsal. I wish the new Solomon Islands Kurukuru futsal squad selection should be go far as here in Auki.” Mr Ngwada said.
