FOUR men accused of murder in Auki, Malaita Province in 2015 had their case adjourned again on Friday.
This would be the third adjournment made for the closing submissions because some lawyers representing the accused are yet to hand in their closing submissions.
Deputy Chief Magistrate Shepherd Lapo after hearing from the counsels adjourned the matter to May 19.
The court is waiting to hear the closing submissions following a long form preliminary inquiry into the murder case against Jeeney Ete, Luciano Laukasi, Benard Lagate’e and Milton Maelikini.
These men are jointly charged for murder of a man between August 17 and August 18 in 2015 at Sea Sound, Gwaunaru’u.
The deceased’s body was found near the Bmobile tower at Auki.
Ete and Laukasi are represented by private lawyers Anderson Kesaka and Hubert Fugui while Public Solicitor’s lawyers Henry Kausimae and Ben Alasia are representing Lagate’e and Maelikini
Public Prosecutor Bradley Dalipanda is prosecuting.
