A Scripture Union group was formed at Auki Community High School in Malaita.
Staff and students formed the group.
School chaplain Clyde Afia said the group was formed with the aim of developing the spiritual growth of the students.
Afia said with the many challenges and influences students face, it would be good to ground them in the word of God.
He explained Scripture Union is part of the school’s ministry to encouraging students to commit their lives to God and live for Him.
“With this group, we plan to visit other schools to share the word of God with them,” Afia said.
He urged other schools in Honiara to establish Scripture Union groups as part of helping their students to grow in the things of God.
