THE Auki futsal league top 8 knockout kicked off last Saturday at the Aligegeo futsal court, Malaita province.
The playoffs resumed after a long break from last year’s final league matches before the Christmas season period.
Last Saturday saw the interest and the love of the game futsal back in action which drew a lot of futsal fans and supporters who came in numbers to witness the four (4) quarter final matches.
In the first quarter final match the league winner’s Boarders beat DFC Warriors by 3-1 while Santos Yellow going down narrowly to Deadsand by 4-3 in the second quarter final match.
In the other 2 quarterfinal matches Ailako White defeated Ailako Red 2-1 in a tough contestant match while Auki Eels thrashed Satorus by 7-3 in the final quarterfinal.
The first semifinal yesterday afternoon was between Boarders and Deadsand while in the second semi-finals Ailako White took on Auki Eels. Results of the match was unavailable before this edition went to print last night.
The grand finals will be on Thursday and followed by prize presentation.
