A ruling on a bail application for Frank Firimolea will be delivered in the Honiara Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday next week.
Firimolea recently applied for bail, however, the prosecution has opposed the application.
He is jointly charged with Donsia Deresi, 41, and her son Rickson Suiti Abana in relation to an alleged warehouse break-in at Kukum in Honiara.
The charge relates to an incident on August 29, 2025, where items valued at an estimated $2 million were allegedly stolen from a Red Star Shop warehouse.
The items reportedly include 22 bags of beche-de-mer and $100,000 in cash.
Police allege the three accused, along with others, used three vehicles to access the warehouse and later concealed the stolen goods at Tenaru with the intention of retrieving them.
Deresi was arrested on September 29, 2025, while Abana was apprehended months later on December 22, 2025, at the Honiara Central Market after evading police.
Abana also faces a separate charge of intimidation, stemming from an incident in which he allegedly chased a man with a knife at the market.
Meanwhile, Firimolea faces an additional, unrelated charge of shop break-in linked to a separate incident at a Tech Hub shop in Honiara in January 2025, where more than 80 mobile phones and cash were stolen.
