BISHOP Epalle Catholic School (BECS) in West Honiara has staged its annual graduation and Prize giving ceremony, Thursday.
The theme for the graduation ceremony was“You are called for a mission.
The ceremony features presentation of Academic awards, presentation of certificates, presentation of non-academic awards and presentation of prestigious awards for both primary and secondary students.
Guest of Honor of the graduation ceremony Dr. Luke Mani congratulated the graduating students for the achievement and encourages them to make the most of their future opportunities in education.
“I congratulate you for the great effort you have shown in attaining such excellence, not only you will be proud but your parents will also be equally elated by your achievements.
“Learn as much as you can and progress as far as your ability allows you in today’s knowledge-based world as education is the key to earning life’s privileges.
“Your performance is proof that you have the necessary qualities to succeed, you have the intellect, however, I urge you to be vigilant against complacency.
“You must build your efforts as you progress further as the challenges you will face as a student will increase exponentially,’’ said Dr Luke Mani.
“To those pursuing higher tertiary education, be prepared to face challenges in your academic journey hardships.
“Every student will go in separate ways in Life, choose the path most appropriate to you based on an honest assessment of yourself and your capabilities and remember that no path is superior or inferior to another.
“I would like to wish all the students the best in your future endeavors, for those returning to BECS in 2020 enjoy you’re your break and come back recharged.
“For those who will be leaving the school for good, I’m sure you will appreciate all the values you’ve gleaned from the staff of the school which should put you in good stead to navigate through life,’’ he said.
Meanwhile, BECS Principal Samson Alley also congratulated the graduates and thanked the parents for their support towards the school and students.
“My good and very supportive parents and guardians, the end result of your coming together, keeping together and working together, in spite of the obstacles that we have faced along the way that the end result is the graduating class of 2019.
“I believe you are proud to witness the success they have made with the opportunities that they were offered.
“To the graduates, we wish you everything that you so richly deserve in the years ahead it has been an honor and privilege watching your progress at Bishop Epalle over the years,’’ said the school Principal.
