Only two Solomon Islands soccer players Rovu Boyers and Junior David featured for their respective clubs as Football South Australia (FSA) reached its play-off phase over the weekend.
Rovu Boyers for West Adelaide in the FSA State League One was up against Cumberland United and Junior David for Croydon FC in the FSA National Premier League (NPL) faced WT Birkalla – both matches held on Saturday.
Boyers scored the opening goal in the 27th minute before an own goal from Adrian Duffy of Cumberland and a 39th minute penalty gave the Hellas a 3-0 comfortable scoreline going into the halftime break.
The Solomon Islander was named in the starting IV after a series of bench starts in his previous league games.
He soon picked up a yellow card in the 44th minute, before he was substituted in the 60th minute.

West Adelaide scored their fourth and final goal in the 66th minute for 4-0 thrashing of Cumberland and send the Hellas into the next round of the preliminary final.
In FSA NPL play-offs, Junior David and his Croydon FC side overcame WT Birkalla 4-1 in a match that the Solomon Islander started on the bench.
Croydon’s first goal did not take long when Adam Martinello scored in the second minute.
Croydon went on to score another in the 37th, 46th and 56th minute respectively.
WT Birkalla managed to score one for themselves in 68th minute, inciting a comeback but it was a little too late for them.
David came in the 76th minute to help refresh the backline of Croydon’s defense and helped his club proceeds to the next phase of the preliminary finals.
Meanwhile, another Solomon Islands soccer player Raphael Leai came in as a substitute for Wollongong Wolves in the 72nd minute against Marconi Stallions on Saturday in a 1-1 draw Round 29 fixture of the New South Wales NPL.
