BUSINESS houses at Ranadi, Kukum, and Central Honiara are urged to take precautions due to the increasing number of break-ins being reported to police.
Acting Police Commissioner Juanita Matanga encouraged business owners at those locations to ensure their premises are properly secured to reduce break-ins.
Ms Matanga told the media last Thursday police are continuing their on-going operation to tackle common and unwanted nuisance around the city.
“Our task is to ensure we reduce fatal accidents especially with the latest behavior emerging in our society,” she said.
Ms Matanga said this behavior includes stones being thrown at police vehicles, house break-ins, illegal sale of alcohol, and home brewed alcohol or kwaso.
“We all know these things caused problems in the society and even in areas we live in,” she added.
Ms Matanga said whilst police are doing their work to reduce this kind of behavior she urged members of the community to play their part to support police in their work.
She asked members of the public to support police in their operation.
The numbers to dial if you want to report any criminal activities are 23666 or 22999.
