Dear Editor – Thank you for allowing me space in your paper to ask this very important question, who is the licensing officer for CAASI (Civil Aviation Authority of Solomon Island)?
I was wondering since then, from 2015 till present that who is the legitimate officer here, manning the post.
Far more important how transparent and accountable was the recruitment and selection process.
Was it a qualification and merit base or who you know type yia? U minim Solo Na ba… It is a gross silence for quite a while that the general public knew little of what’s going on in our civil aviation office or I should say the isolated blue house far Henderson road for those interested.
Well silence is over and its time I will shed just a little light on the subject.
Licensing officer is an important post in the civil aviation and those who directly involve in this industry will undoubtedly agree with me.
As such we need the right people with the right qualification on the job.
Its’ sad to say but seems to be the rightful thing, that the daughter of the suspended director of CAASI is the licensing officer.
Well, if only the director has the courtesy and humility to subject him-self under the constitution, this issue will not drift into public ears.
Being around the civil aviation office and having numerous contacts with the officer on work related issues, I had done my homework of observation and it’s just unspeakable to see what she can and can’t do.
How unprofessional, inconsistency and subsequent knowledge deficiency on her ability to handle and propagate her responsibilities, which I hope something needs to be done.
I would be happy and satisfy if the suspended director of CAASI tells the nation how legitimate and transparent is the selection and recruitment of his daughter as the CAASI licensing office.
State her qualifications and experience which guarantee her such a post.
Remember sir, much of the recruitment process was carpeted because of your influence.
