The deputy premier of Renbel province has commended the two days financial expo held in Honiara last week and suggested that such event be organized every month.
Kusol Tepuke made this remarks when he visited the expo on Friday.
He said the expo is an excellent initiative to pass vital financial information to people who know very little about financial organization in the country.
“Most people have very little knowledge about financial information and its organization in the country.
“Therefore by organizing such program it allows more people to learn more about the financial services in the country and how to access them,” Mr Tepuke said.
CBSI should host such expo on a monthly basis because it’s very important to promote financial awareness to the public.
The expo is organized by the National Financial Inclusion Task force under the Central Bank of Solomon Islands and PFIP – a Pacific-wide programme helping low income households gain access to quality and affordable financial services and financial education.
