MEMBERS of the public have called on Telekom Company to provide clear phone call service. The critics say they have been very disappointed with the current service which has been very annoying with blurry noise effects causing disturbances to phone call conversations.
A frustrated customer who asked to remain anonymous said, the disturbing background noise in phone calls especially to provinces was rather annoying and disturbing. Not only that he said but it was a waste of money.
He said customers lose their money paying for top-up services only to lose credits on top ups since clients on the receiving ends could not hear clear from phone call conversations because of the disturbing background noises.
He said the calls were often interrupted by a Telekom computerized message apologising over network disconnection that cuts off phone contacts between two people.
The complainant added that these continuous interruptions in the communication network could only reflect well on the company’s inability to provide quality service to its clients as compared to other network providers.
He said as a locally owned company people in the country look to Telekom as a model lead service provider in communication networks in this country, hence it should be proud to maintain its credibility at that level.
He said Solomon Islands being geographically made up of scattered islands depend largely on telecommunication for effective communication network through mobile services.
Therefore it is paramount Telekom ensures their communication networks provide quality service to clients.
