DISRESPECTFUL act and vandalism against health facilities in the rural communities has sparked deep concerned amongst community leaders calling for great respect to such important service.
A community leader at Fox Bay Rural Health Centre in West Guadalcanal has expressed his disappointment on those who continue to show disrespect to important facilities that provide service to the people.
Francis Buto in an interview with the Solomon Star last week appealed to community residence to respect their rural health Clinic.
Buto who is responsible for looking after the clinic in an exclusive interview said, the clinic was damaged by people who have no respect for the facilities.
“The damage was done by people who have disrespectful attitude and have no care for such important building.”

He said that people must respect such life saving facilities such as clinics because this is where sick patients can access health services.
“Our people should respect our healthcare center because this is a live saving place for sick patients to obtain health services,” Buto said.
He also appeals to all villagers to respect the nurses and staffs who are in charge of the clinic.
“We should also respect the nurses and staff who look after the clinic. They are the the most important people in terms of providing services for the smooth running of the clinic,” he added.
Respecting health clinics also means supporting efforts to maintain high quality standards in healthcare delivery.
By emphasising respect in all these areas, health clinics can foster positive relationships and improve the overall health of the communities.
