A Former Honiara City Council (HCC) Deputy Mayor calls on the Democratic Coalition for Change (DCC) government to concentrate on implementing its development projects earmarked for the constituencies.
This is because, as they only have six months left according to their time frame to implement most of their national projects, saidJim Sevesi.
In a press statement this week, Mr Sevesi said, DCC should not waste to propaganda, rather implement its development plans earmarked for the provinces, as time limit is catching up.
“Considering the 6 months time frame, we have to stop boasting and forget about the political game that started to disturb the government stability.”
He further stated government must concentrate to address major development plans on the ground.“As time remains uncertain against our sweet promises on development, whether we will achieve them or not.”
He added if the government is doing little to fulfill its development goals for this year then that will certainly increases negative opinions among the public, particularly in Honiara where most educated people and influensive figures lived to closely monitor government’s performance.
“Simply load the landing crafts with machines and plants and sets them to sail to those project sites, where resources owners for years have been expecting the government to show face,” Mr Sevesi stated.
