International Gospel reggae pioneers Christafari have officially launched their highly anticipated “You Are Loved” Melanesia Tour, bringing their uplifting message of hope and salvation to the islands of the South Pacific.
The U.S.-based band arrived in Fiji on Saturday for a short layover before heading on to Vanuatu, where they kicked off the tour in spectacular fashion with two major concerts at Saralana Park in Port Vila, drawing thousands.
Despite the initial setback of seven missing bags, the group was relieved when all luggage was recently recovered, allowing them to continue their mission without disruption.
Later this week, Christafari will host another concert in North Efate before flying to the Solomon Islands on Saturday, where the heart of their Melanesian outreach begins.
The band will be ministering at two massive free outreach concerts at Kukum Field in Honiara on:
- Sunday, June 8
- Sunday, June 15
Both events begin at 5pm and are open to the public.

While the band initially sought to secure a larger stadium venue, logistical roadblocks and ongoing sporting events made that impossible. “We really wanted to go big this time,” said Pastor Mark Mohr, lead vocalist and founder of Christafari.
“But in the end, we had to choose between a faraway stadium or a central location that’s walkable for locals. We wanted to prioritize accessibility—especially for those who could never afford a taxi or find a ride. These concerts are for everyone.”
Although Kukum Field is smaller than Town Ground Stadium—where Christafari has performed three times in the past—the band remains optimistic. “If the people are willing to pack in, we believe we can fit a whole lot of hearts ready to receive hope and joy,” Mohr added.
Christafari will also travel to Malaita, where they’ll perform at APS Field on June 12 and 13. Every event is completely free and designed to bless the community. A love offering will be received to help cover tour expenses and support the band’s next missionary destination.
