HONIARA City FC moved up the Telekom S-league table to the fourth spot with 13 points following their recent 3-1 against fellow debutant Southern United FC on Wednesday.
Despite not displaying their best performance, Honiara City managed to beat United to reach the fourth position in the table.
Cleophas Oriana opened the scoreboard in the 23rd minute.
Oriana came close to scoring his second, an attempt that was blocked by United’s goalkeeper Junior Fika.
Fortunately for City, Junior Annie was there to push the ball into the net to extend City’s lead.
United closed the gap with winger Shane Qoloni’s goal in the second half to put his side back to contention.
United’s hope fell short when Alick Solo scored City’s third goal to seal the 3-1 win.
Southern United remains in the tenth position with only three points in eight matches.
