Dear Editor – I’m writing this letter concerning the subject mentioned above, on the continuing issues the country (Solomon Islands) is facing today.
Given the current situation the country is facing such as economic crises in connection to financial problems, the development level of the country is not moving ahead.
Not only that it’s difficult to progress to another level due to weak central institutions of the region and the leadership challenges related to the management of natural resources.
These are major issues, apart from others corruptions like, ranging from petty corruption, embezzlement grand and political corruption such misusing of money and property lacking honesty and transparency of leadership.
This is affecting the lives of the citizens and the country as a whole.
For example, corruption and misuse of public money for their own good and use during the COVID-19 economic stimulus package (ESP).
I urged the government and the citizen of the country to implement and apply public anti-corruption strategy actively to the expected level meeting the international obligation policy of development and changed for the better of our country and its people.
Your sincerely
