Friday May 1 has been set by the Court of Appeal as the proposed date to decide on the Attorney General’s (AG) appeal against the decision delivered by the High Court on April-14.
Hearing into the AG’s appeal has been concluded on Thursday.
The appeal was against the High Court ruling that ordered Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele to call for Parliament within three days.
AG John Muria Jnr, represented the Governor General and Prime Minister while Wilson Rano represents the Speaker of Parliament.
Both Counsels advised Court to overturn the High Court’s decision.
The panel of justices are —Chief Justice Sir Gibuma Gibbs Salika, Justice Howard Lowry, and Justice Gina Nott.
