Micah Lea’alafa despite adding another goal to his name was only a consolation goal as his club, Vipers FC lose 4-1 to Adelaide Olympic.
This was in another Round 22 match of the FSA State League One last Saturday. Lea’alafa featured the whole match.
After a series of goals by the Adelaide Olympic side, while on the lead 3-0 in the 76th minute, Lea’alafa’s goal conversion gave Vipers FC a glimmer of hope.
The goal happened when a Vipers FC player gave a high lobbying ball into the Olympic box. The Olympic goalkeeper rushed toward the ball while the Olympic defender also did the same.
Lea’alafa was also running for the ball. He saw his chance as the Olympic defender overpowered his header that went over the keeper’s head. Outpacing the defender and no keeper in goal, Lea’alafa easily slotted it in to record Vipers FC’s only goal of the match.
Adelaide Olympic went on to score another to finally end the match 4-1.
Vipers FC sit 11th on the State League One table with 18 points.
