Honiara, Solomon Islands – Customers of the Development Bank of Solomon Islands (DBSI) can now receive their loans and repay them digitally via M-SELEN, following a new partnership between DBSI and M-SELEN.
The service allows DBSI customers to receive loan disbursements directly into their M-SELEN wallets and make repayments anytime, anywhere using the M-SELEN App or by dialing *123#. This removes the need for travel and in-person visits, making DBSI loan services more accessible nationwide.
The partnership supports DBSI’s mandate to reach more customers, particularly in rural and underserved areas, while also enabling the Bank to receive loan repayments more efficiently and on time.
“This partnership enables DBSI to deliver loan services more conveniently while making repayments simpler for customers,” said Majidul Haque, Head of M-SELEN.
“Digital disbursement and repayment through M-SELEN helps improve access, efficiency, and reliability for both the Bank and its customers.”
DBSI’s CEO (Mr. Aisake Radu) said the integration strengthens the Bank’s service delivery and sustainability.
“Through M-SELEN, DBSI can now disburse loans faster and receive repayments more reliably,” the CEO said.
“This improves customer experience while supporting the long-term effectiveness of our loan programmes.”
The DBSI loan repayment service on M-SELEN is available nationwide with zero transaction fees.
