Divit Rural Training Center (RTC) in West Guadalcanal welcomes the arrival of 11 Rotary members from Australia who will spend two weeks at the center.
They will spend two weeks to conduct renovation work on food preparation hall at the center.
Speaking during the welcome ceremony a local Rotary member said, the team will spend two weeks to upgrade a building particularly food preparation hall.
“The food preparation hall is very important venue where girls conduct their tourism and hospital training.”
The Rotary member said, part of the work has already done but just need to upgrade more to meet the standard of tourism.
He said those who involved in the upgrading of the building are those who have retired and have wealth of experience in skills job.
Head girl of the school Cecilia Oemae acknowledged the service of the rotary members from Australia.
She said their assistance in terms of upgrading their food preparation hall will benefit them in the long term.
