SOLOMON Island band Doorman Project (DMP) is in the country to perform a show to raise funds for flood victims in the Solomon Islands.
The DMP band consists of six artists that have toured Australia and Papua New Guinea and this is their first tour in Fiji.
USP Solomon Island Student Association president Roylex Sitana said the band and Solomon Island artist Jah Boy were raising funds for those affected by the recent flood that hit the Solomon Islands this week.
Mr Sitana said they hoped to raise $F25,000 from their performance which would go to the World Red Cross Appeal that is assisting the flood affected areas.
“At the moment we have raised $7000 and we still have three more shows this week which will be held at specific venues in the country,” Mr Sitana said.
