The 2nd Annual Review and Planning Meeting (ARPM) of the Sustainable Transformation of Domestic Agrifood Systems (STODAS) project is underway in Honiara this week.
Minister for Agriculture and Livestock (MAL) Franklyn Derek Wasi, officially opened the meeting.
The STODAS project, which involves Fiji, Samoa, and Solomon Islands, aims to strengthen domestic agrifood systems across the three Pacific nations.
This year’s ARPM is a key event for assessing progress and planning future activities under the project.
The event will also feature the 6th Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting, where key decisions on the project’s direction and implementation will be discussed.
Permanent Secretary (PS) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAL), Dr. Samson Viulu, welcomed all participants—both visiting and local—to the meeting.
In his remarks, Dr. Viulu emphasized the importance of the ARPM for the three STODAS recipient countries, noting its role in ensuring coordinated efforts and sustainable outcomes in agrifood systems development.
The meeting brings together stakeholders from across the region to collaborate and review progress made under the STODAS initiative, which is vital for food security and economic development in the Pacific.
