THE proposed Community Service Congress featuring all the Adventist dorcas ladies from around the country will now take place in December instead of September.
In a statement issued by a member of the Steering Committee on Tuesday, it explained this is due to a number of church activities during the month of September.
“Wish to let you all know that according to the Community Service Congress Steering Committee meeting today, we decided and agreed to move the Community Service Congress from 17th- 27th September to 4th – 13th December 2025.
“This is due to TPUM and PNGUM Session Meetings which fall on the same date in September.
“This affects the attendance of both our guest speaker who is from PNG and Loleth of TPUM. That left us with no option but to move the congress,” the statement said.
The guest speaker for the night meetings will be PNGUM President Pr Malachi Yani and Loleth Worwor of TPUM for morning Devotions.
Registration will continue and closes on 30th September 2025.
All dorcas societies have been encouraged to continue with their registration so that they can work on producing booklets and resources in time in preparation for the program.
The venue for the program will still be at the Betikama camp ground in Honiara.
Meanwhile, most of the dorcas societies are still preparing for the congress. The delay will allow them to prepare well for the much anticipated program.
