Central Shields and Temotu Arrows have played out a 1-1 draw in the group A clash yesterday at the Lawson Tama stadium.
The draw gives both teams to earn a point each after the thrilling showdown at 12pm yesterday.
It was Central Shields who open the scoring early in the first 45 minutes by a goal from Ronald Dami to give Central Shields the lead over Arrows making it 1-0.
Arrows responded with high pressure trying to level the score but unable to do so due to their scoring chances were misused to leave the battle open for the next 45 minutes as Central Shields hoping to extend lead while Arrows hoping to level the score.
Both teams regrouped with renewed strength in the second half searching for goals until Arrows find the right combination to level the score in the 62 minutes making it 1 all.
After Arrows level the score in the 62 minutes, both teams shared equal ball possessions and played out high intensity match eyeing the 3 points.
However despite many scoring chances from both sides the score remains 1-1 until full-time.
Central Shields head coach Stanley Waita after the match he said the result went the way they don’t expect but have to commend the boys for their effort throughout the match.
On the other hand Arrows head coach Eddie said he is happy with boys for coming from behind to level the score. He said at least they secured their first 1 point on the standing.
