Two men facing separate alcohol related charges in the Honiara Magistrates’ Court have been sentenced yesterday.
One was fined $300 after pleading guilty to consuming liquor at Point Cruz, Honiara while another has been given a bound over sentence for a drunk and disorderly charge.
Acting Deputy Chief Magistrate Jim Seuika said, the community and the court do not accept such behaviour, causing nuisance to the public.
Mr Seuika then imposed a fine for Marvin Belo Niuta for drinking in front of the Lime Lounge on January 17, this year.
Mr Nuita has until 4pm yesterday to pay off his fine.
Failure to pay up in time will see him spending 20 days in prison.
John Lambert who admitted drinking and blocking off traffic in front of the Heritage Park Hotel has been given a bound over of 12 months to keep the peace and be of good behaviour in the sum of $300.
