Henderson Eels FC has maintained the top spot of the Telekom S-league (TSL) competition with 18 points.
Eels defeated Real Kakamora FC 2-0 at the Lawson Tama Stadium, Saturday.
Eels continued their winning streak and yesterday’s win makes their sixth consecutive win for this season.
It was a tough match, not quite the result what most football fans had expected as Real Kakamora nearly caused Eels their first upset.
The first half ended scoreless despite a series of scoring opportunities from both sides.
Eels score their opening goal a minute from the second half kick off by Hudson Felani.
The battle continued right up until the two minutes injury time before Eels sealed their victory with their second goal by substitute Shadrack Dola.
With the return of some of their U23 players, Kakamora put on their best ever performance of the season yesterday.
They had their chances, most of which were denied by clumsy finishing right in front of the goal mouth.
Kakamora remains at the bottom of the TSL table with no points.
The second match of the day saw Laugu FC sealed their second win of the season with a 4-0 win over Isabel United FC.
