Bishop Epalle Catholic School on Tuesday gathered at Holy Cross Cathedral for their annual thanks giving mass.
The mass was conducted by His Grace Arch Bishop Adrian Smith.
It was attended by Principal of Epalle Catholic School Ambrose Dolofera, headmistress Anna Tawake (smsm), Australian volunteers, students, friends and relatives.
During the ceremony His Grace Arch Bishop encouraged both graduates and continuing students to use all the skills they achieved during their times in high school.
“As you come towards the end of this year, I hope when you finished at Bishop Epalle high school, I expect all of you to use the skills in responsible ways so that people may look at you as you used the good opportunities that you may have.”
His Grace Adrian Smith also urged themto respect their teachers and parents and be kind to them.
“Respect is the important manner we should bring in our life,” he highlighted.
He added;“Don’t start using alcohol. Say no to alcohol because it will destroy your brain and care for the gift that God gave you and thank him for his wonderful gift that he has given you. Go back to your families and pray to God to continue help you.
An Australian volunteer Mr. Jacob from Catholic university also shared his pleasure and how he spent his time in Solomon Islands and acknowledged Epalle school for allowing him to be part of them for the past six months.
The team returns to Australia tomorrow.
Meanwhile Mr Dolofera acknowledged His Grace Arch Bishop Adrian Smith for conducting the Holy mass and thanked both staff and student body for their presence.
Epalle school will hold its graduation tomorrow.
