SOLOMON Islands famous traditional female dance group ‘Faeni’ is currently in Sydney, Australia to participate in the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
According to the organisers, this will be the largest Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo ever staged when it marches exclusively into Sydney’s ANZ Stadium from 17-19 October.
The Australian Defence Force is picking up performers from the Pacific Islands to travel to Sydney, it was reported.
‘Faeni’ dancers is said to be the only group that is picked from the Solomon Islands.
It will featuring over 1,500 of the world’s finest pipers, drummers, dancers, military musicians and performers, this renowned Scottish spectacular will be brought to life set against the backdrop of a full-size replica of Edinburgh Castle.
Participating in this year’s event will be 320 Pipes and Drums, 100 Highland Dancers, 13 Military Bands with 865 Military performers, 40 Scottish Fiddlers, a 100 strong Australian Federation Guard and more.
