Honiara streets have been flooded with supporters of intending candidates contesting the Honiara city council election.
On Tuesday, along the roads candidates and their supporters conducted their final campaign through a float parade.
Supporters came out in numbers by loading vehicles, shouting, chanting their candidates name and symbol while traveling in convey of vehicles through parts of the city.
Police officers were at hand to maintain order and control the flow of traffic.
Registered voters within the Honiara City are expected to go to the polls this morning.
Voters are being encouraged to come out and vote just like the recent national general election.
