The Western Provincial Government (WPG) is set to officially open four major infrastructure projects towards the end of this month, signalling another milestone under the leadership of Premier Billy Veo.
Hon. Redfern Alsina, Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) for Ward 13 Vona Vona Lagoon and Minister for Planning, revealed this during his Motion of Sine Die speech in the Western Provincial Assembly, Friday.
According to Hon. Alsina, the upcoming official openings will include the Gizo Youth Centre, Mile 6 Paddock, Kukuku Bridge, and the Seghe Administration Building.
These projects, he said, reflect not only physical infrastructure but also the government’s continued commitment to development and service delivery across the province.
“These are not just infrastructures. They are a symbol of this government’s commitment and determination to move the province forward under the leadership of Premier Billy Veo,” he added.
He extended his appreciation to the Integrated Economic Development and Community Resilience (IEDCR) program for its financial support, describing the funding as crucial in helping the province achieve its development objectives.
Hon. Alsina also thanked the Provincial Secretary, staff of the Western Provincial Administration, and members of the Provincial Planning and Advisory Committee (PPAC) for their dedication and hard work in ensuring the successful completion of the projects.
The Minister highlighted the upcoming openings will demonstrate that despite challenges, the current government remains focused on implementing tangible projects that bring real benefits to communities across the Western Province.
“These developments are proof that our province is moving in the right direction,” Hon. Alsina concluded.
