NAHARAHAU Primary School in Wainoni district, Makira province is in need of teachers.
This was highlighted by Head teacher Joseph Bare to inform authorities and parents of the school’s plight.
“I want to inform you authorities and parents that in 2015, we did not have the required number of teachers,” Mr. Bare said.
He said only four teachers run the school during the 2015 academic year.
“And to tell you the truth, these teachers were trainees who were attending courses offered at the USP centre in Kira Kira.
“Due to this problem, I have engaged three Community Based Teachers (CBT) to assist them,” Mr. Bare said.
He said the school has enrolled close to 200 students for this year.
The head teacher called on parents to cooperate and urged education authorities to fix the problem.
“The success of this school is on the line therefore this issue must be considered.”
