FOLLOWING the launch of a fund-raising drive in Gizo, Western Province on Wednesday, a number of activities to raise funds for the Australian bush fire victim is now underway.
On Friday a group of volunteers pushed two wheelbarrows through the busy Gizo township.
This was to allow members of the public to drop in their contributions.
Members of the public have responded by dropping money into the wheelbarrows.
More activities are being planned by the organising committee to support the cause.
Similar fundraising activities are being held in parts of the province.
Western Provincial Government has appealed to the people of the province to support the cause given the support by the Australian people through various programs and projects in the province and the country.
