A major fundraising drive to support the establishment of GOSSA Football Club (GOSSA FC) Academy in Gizo, Western Province is underway.
The move to set up the academy comes as the province prepares for the grand opening of the new JFK Stadium in Gizo.
The fundraising initiative, aimed at supporting youth football development and academy operations in Gizo, offers attractive prizes and will run for a full month leading up to the draw date on 29th August 2025.
Organisers from GOSSA FC revealed that the first prize will be a Toyota RAV4, followed by a Starlink internet device as the second prize.
The third prize is a high-quality party box sound system, while the fourth prize is a generous $5,000 cash reward.
The community is encouraged to take part in this exciting opportunity not only to win great prizes but also to contribute to the long-term growth of local football in the province.
The venue for the selling of the tickets is located at the centre of the Gizo market. A ticket is sold at $20 dollars.
According to GOSSA FC Team Leader, Elias Foata funds raised will go directly into the setup of a football academy in Gizo, which aims to nurture young talent and promote discipline, leadership, and sporting excellence among youths.
“The fundraising draw comes as part of the lead-up activities for the much-anticipated official opening of the JFK Stadium, a major development in the province’s sporting landscape,” Foata told Star Sports in an interview.
He said, other tickets sales will be available at Noro on 4th to 8th August and Munda at Lambete on 11th to 15th August next month.
Tickets and more information about the draw are available through GOSSA FC coordinators in Gizo.
