Caretaker Finance and Treasury Minister, Rick Hou has said the national government has under-spent the 2014 Budget during the first six months of the year.
Mr Hou said the consolidated expenses for the first half of 2014 was 1,621-point-8 million dollars while the revised pro-rata 2014 budget estimate for the same period was 1,861-point-8 million dollars or a 13 percent under-spent.
He said the recurrent expenditure of 167-point-1 million dollars was under-spent during the first six months of 2014, which included the donors’ budgetary support.
But he said a significant amount of the donors’ budgetary support relates to activities that are yet to occur which includes the 2014 National Elections.
