Guadalcanal Provincial Tourism Office aims to improve all tourism facilities within the province by 2015.
Jesinta Koli, Guadalcanal Provincial Tourism Office highlighted this when speaking during the official opening of a three days tourism training in Marau yesterday.
Ministry of Culture and Tourism (MCT) together with the Guadalcanal Provincial Tourism Office organised this three days basic tourism training in Marau, East Guadalcanal.
The training was aimed at equipping all the tourism operators in the area to enable them provide a conducive hospitality for tourists and guests.
Ms Koli said next year the provincial tourism office wants to improve all the tourism facilities within the province.
“In 2015 Guadalcanal provincial tourism office will work closely with tourism operators around the island to make sure they improve all their tourism facilities.
“We want tourism standard in the province to improve since the demand of tourist visiting the province is growing,” Ms Koli said.
She highlighted that the current status of all tourism facilities in the province is very discouraging and needs immediate improvement to attract tourists.
