A young man has been remanded, Tuesday at the Honiara Magistrates Court for the alleged murder of a teenage boy at the Guadalcanal Plains Palm Oil (GPPOL) over the weekend.
Junior Taro will appear again in the Honiara Magistrates Court on June 6.
He is now facing one count of murder following an incident on the morning of May 21 (Saturday) at GPPOL 2.
Prosecution alleged the deceased was drinking with some boys and was alleged to have started behaving disorderly and started swearing.
He allegedly swore at someone when the accused came out of nowhere and kicked him on his legs.
The deceased was said to have fallen to the ground in a sitting position and the accused continued to kick him on his back neck.
He fell down on the ground and was shortly assisted to the GPPOL 2 clinic but was pronounced dead.
Taro is still without a lawyer.
Police Prosecutor David Tepai did the remand application on Tuesday before Deputy Chief Magistrate Shepherd Lapo who granted the remand application.
