The office of the Environmental Health department of the Honiara City Council has been robbed.
It has been revealed that the incident happen at the early hours of Tuesday morning between 0330 to 0425hrs.
A statement from the Law Enforcement Division states that an officer on duty discovered the incident but it was too late.
It has been revealed that thieves cut through the security wire and entered through the window.
The thieves stole office equipments which includes a laptop, PA system with speakers for awareness purposes, a tablet, phone and a head phone belonging to a New Zealand Volunteer.
The items stole are estimated to be around SBD$15, 000.
The Central Police has been informed and investigations will be carried out along with the HCC Law Enforcement Officers.
The public with information in regards to the robbery are advised to come forward or contact the Police and the HCC Law Enforcement Division to help apprehend the perpetrators
