STUDENTS from various schools in Honiara City have taken time off from school to meet and greet His Royal Highness at the Lawson Tama stadium, Monday.
His Royal Highness Prince of Wales, Prince Charles was able to meet school children of different schools in Honiara when given the opportunity.
After the official program at Lawson Tama, he met students and their staff.
About hundreds of students queued to meet Prince Charles.
It’s a dream of a lifetime for the school children to meet him.
The school children somewhat have read about Prince Charles’s story from magazines, newspapers and books.
However, they were fortunate to actually meet him and touch his hands.
Escorting him to meet the school children was Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare, government ministers and officials.
High Royal Highness braved the heat of the sun to meet the school children.
He shook hands with them; spoke to them asking them few simple questions with laughter.
After he met the school children, he also took the time to meet local carvers and traditional dancers.
His Royal Highness is attracted to Pele Dancers from Temotu province.
He even went and took a group photo with the Pele Dancers after his tour around the playing ground.
Later he leaves Lawson Tama Stadium to the Forum Fishery Agency (FFA).
He left Solomon Islands just before 5pm, Monday.
