THE civil case of the Indian woman who claims her husband escaped to India leaving her and their son behind has been further adjourned.
This was after Justice John Keniapisia said he wants more evidence and information from Mylapalii Hema – lalta before he can decide on the case.
Hema wants the court to dismiss her husband’s documents to live and work in Solomon Islands and had both of them sent back to India.
She said she is doing this to “save her marriage”.
Hema arrived in the country in July last year with her son after hearing rumours that her husband is having an affair with a Samoan woman here.
She had earlier told this paper that she confirmed with her own eyes the rumours when she arrived in Honiara.
Her husband, Mylapalii Ravi Kumar, arrived in the country in 2014 to work as a chef at the Heritage Park Hotel.
Kumar left Heritage Park Hotel and started the Ravizz Kitchen with the Samoan woman.
She said her husband escaped to India when she took up the case to the High Court after an earlier case filed in the Magistrates’ Court was dismissed.
She claimed the Samoan woman and her husband planned the escape.
A lawyer from the Public Solicitor’s Office represents Hema in this civil hearing.
