HEALTH Services at the Kilu’ufi Hospital in Malaita Province has returned to normal following the decline of Covid-19 cases in the province.
The Malaita Provincial Health Director Dr. Rex Maukera confirmed this to Solomon Star Auki yesterday saying all health services at the hospital had returned to normal.
In the height of the Covid-19 community transmission in Malaita Province early this year, some health services have been affected due to more effort focused on the Covid-19.
Kilu’ufi hospital also operated under strict surveillance which required all sick patients seeking medical attention at the hospital to undergo Covid-19 swab test before accessing health care from the hospital.
According to Dr. Maukera all health services have since returned to normal and as such restrictions have been lifted.
Even with the decline in the covid-19 in Malaita, he said the hospital still monitors the situation should there be any new reported cases.
