Solomon Kings suffered its first heavy defeat after going down to South Melbourne Football Club [FC] on Wednesday night with five unanswered goals.
The host proved too strong for the visitors during the match played at the Home of the Matildas.
The match went into the break at half time by a goal in favour of South Melbourne.
Four more goals were added in the second half.
Kings were punished after captain and goal keeper Philip Mango was sent off for slapping a South Melbourne Player.
With a player down, the host managed to take advantage of the shortfall and dominated the match.
The unavailable presence of William Komasi and Atkin Kaua was also attributed to the defeat.
Despite the defeat the Kings have assured fans of doing their best in the fourth round which will be played in Honiara in a week.
The team is expected to arrive in Honiara this Friday.
