Koloale Community High School (CHS) in Central Honiara is confident of defending their boys’ Rugby 7s title as the 2025 Solomon Islands Secondary School Games (SISSG25) officially opened in Honiara on Sunday.
Most of the games will commence on Monday and Tuesday this week.
A key figure from the 2021 gold medal-winning team, Rugby Official Jeffrey Hokisaki, expressed confidence in this year’s squad.
“Although most of the 2021 players have moved on, I believe in this group of boys. They have the experience and the qualities needed to go all the way this year,” Hokisaki said.
The former Solomon Islands international rugby representative also highlighted Koloale CHS’s proud rugby history, noting the school has produced some of the country’s top talents over the years — several of whom have gone on to represent the nation.
Koloale will begin their title defence tomorrow, Tuesday 1st uly when the Rugby 7s competition kicks off at the KGVI Eastend Stadium.
