Lauru Kuvojo football team from Choiseul Province representing Solomon Islands made history this afternoon โ Wednesday 17th September by securing a convincing 7-3 victory over Southern Rangers 2 in their first-ever friendly match, held at Buin, Bougainville.
The game kicked off with high intensity, as both sides pushed hard in search of an early lead.
Southern Rangers managed to find the net twice in the first half, but Lauru Kuvojo bounced back and responded with four goals, taking a comfortable lead by halftime.
Midfielders Sosimo Evo and Peter Deu stood out, each scoring two goals to energize their team.
In the second half, Southern Rangers added two more goals to their tally, but Lauru Kuvojo continued their attacking momentum, striking again 10 minutes later.
Demonstrating composure and teamwork, Lauru Kuvojo maintained pressure and netted the winning goal in the third minute of added time.
