THE Baelau and Manaoba Football and Volleyball League Organizing Committee has received a timely boost of trophies and medals from the Lau Baelelea Constituency, as preparations gear up for this year’s league tournament.
According to reports reaching the Star Sport, the league event is expected to unite young people from surrounding communities within the Lau Baelelea Constituency,
This expected to bring excitement and community spirit to the festive Christmas season.
This support marks a first for local leagues in the area, featuring professionally engraved gold, silver, and bronze medals, along with impressive trophies etched with league names and competition titles.
Photos and videos of the trophies have already made rounds on social media this week, sparking excitement among players and supporters alike.
League committee member Clifton Anga praised the initiative, describing it as a major step forward for rural sports development.
“This is a game-changer,” Anga said.
“Hon. Ben has turned our sportspeople’s initiative into lasting recognition rewarding passion, teamwork, and talent like never before.”
He added that the customized prizes are more than just rewards, they symbolize excellence and pride for the athletes and communities of Lau Baelelea.
“No more generic prizes,” he said.
“These are custom-crafted symbols of achievement, a groundbreaking moment for rural sports in our constituency.”
As part of the support, the constituency supported the Manaoba football league with balls, referee kits including uniforms, whistles and flags.
A Francis Kairi expressed his appreacition to the Lau Baelelea constituency for the great support towards the league and matches officials.
